28th February 2010:

  • New adverts: sharers wanted; livery place wanted;
  • Events news: The Moats Way Equestrian Dressage series for 2010 now has qualfiers for the Veteran Horse Society. (Dates are: 10th April, 9th May, 27th June and 1st August) New events for April & May at Manor Farm EC near Huntingdon have been added to the relevant events pages. "Peter Pan Fun Day" - gymkhana & showing at Moats Way - 22nd August.

27th February 2010:

  • SHOW JUMPING AT TWIN TREES TOMORROW has been postponed due to poor weather conditions - will hopefully run on 7th March.

  • New events: the Southill Ride wll be repeated this year, and the date has just been released - Sunday 3rd October. Further details will be added to the Pleasure Rides page when available. Evening talk on pasture management, at Thurleigh, Thursday 25th February - See Events-Others.

10th February 2010:

  • New Events: "Big Tetworth" - 21/3 - schedule now available - see Events-Hunter Trials. Various events from the BHS.

4th February 2010:
Have you received a flyer from Fellowes Farm Equine Clinic regarding worming? (I received one this morning). I was surprised to see a glaring error on the advice given for worming. They have recommended "Noromectin or Equest" mid-winter "for encysted small redworm and bots". Noromectin is NOT effective against encysted small redworm. (See data sheet at: Noromectin Datasheet). I have written to Fellowes Farm to ask them to make a correction, but please bear this in mind if using their sheet. (Otherwise, the information given is very good).

Have you signed the petition against the proposed "Horse Tax" yet? Please visit http://petitions.number10.gov.uk/Horse-Rethink/ and add your name. A tiny proportion of the people who would be affected have signed up so far - so please spread the word and get as many signatures as you can.

Firstly, apologies for the delay in updating the web-site, ordering, calling people back - having a nightmare time at the moment with much too much to do, and much too little time!! Please bear with me. I'm doing my best to catch up.
