WARNING: To people keeping horses & riding in the Old Warden/Northill/Ickwell areas:

..............................................................................................

Of course I am writing to let know that our event is on the same course this year and on Sunday 23rd May from approximately 09.30am to 12.15pm.

It is a repeat of last years event and our HQ will be at Old Warden Village Hall with the start/finish area at the top of Cardington hill on Southill road. The course then goes to Old Warden..left to Ickwell Green through to Northill and Bedford Road and Northill road back to Cople and Cardington As organiser of the event I would once again be most grateful of any help you can give in letting as many of the equine residents in the area know that the race is taking place.

HELP WANTED:

I am appealing for help at the forthcoming Keysoe ride on Sunday 30 May ... I still need a few more volunteers to be route marshalls.  This would involve checking riders' numbers as they pass and reporting any missing riders to base (by mobile phone text - phone will be provided if you do not have one or if you are on the 'wrong' network - coverage is patchy in this area) and most importantly guiding riders across roads.  It should be possible to sit in your car, listening to your radio or CD, most of the time but you will have to get out to do the road crossing ...

The time commitment varies a bit depending on the location and the number of entries we get ...   probably about 4 or 5 hours starting between 9 and 10 am (job shares considered!).   A sandwich lunch will be offered - either to collect from the venue before you go to your marshalling point or back at The College Cafe at the end of the ride .... as you prefer

Do hope someone can help ... please email me or ring me on 01234 709960

PS I will similarly be looking for stewards for the EAAA/BHS ride at Southill on 3rd October - early volunteers welcome!
